Ultrasound therapy is a low-risk, non-invasive modality that provides a cellular micro-massage. It is well-known and highly utilized by equine massage therapists in Europe, but underused in the US. I have been trained in therapeutic ultrasound by an equine physiotherapist from the UK. Ultrasound therapy is highly suited to resolving inflammation and soothing pain in fibrous tissue. It is specifically recommended for areas of repetitive stress, chronic low-grade irritation, and restrictive scars.
$25 / 15 min, $45 / 30 min
Feel free to contact me if you are unsure about whether ultrasound therapy is right for your horse.
PEMF Therapy
This session includes 30 minutes of medium-intensity PEMF therapy, covering the neck and back. Boots are available as well if needed. PEMF carries a wealth of benefits for your horse. It has been shown to decrease pain, decrease swelling, improve muscle function, and accelerate healing in human & animal models. The medium intensity of my machine makes it a great choice for horses who do not tolerate a high intensity field.
Add-on to massage: $30 / 30 minutes
Standalone: $60 ($45 with 3+ horses)
