Welcome
Hi there! I'm Tayla Howerton, and I am a Certified Equine Sports Massage Therapist (CESMT) based in northern New Jersey. I specialize in using myofascial release & trigger point therapy techniques to soothe pain, improve range of motion, and enhance muscle function in all horses. I grew up in Kentucky and was quickly enveloped in the world of horses. Instead of going into competition, however, my heart pulled me into equine wellness & lameness rehab. During my studies at Ohio University's equine program, I was presented an opportunity to take a blended learning massage certification course, and the rest is history. I moved to NJ, built up a wonderful clientele, and continue to hone my skills through continuing education and learning from the horses I work on.
Practicing as an equine massage therapist, I gained an interest in therapeutic technology such as PEMF (pulsed electromagnetic field) therapy and phototherapy. Seeing the incredible results from incorporating these technologies into her services, I wished to make them more accessible for owners and their horses. I noticed that most equine therapy products had extreme markups and that companies intentionally kept customers in the dark about the specifications of their products. I knew I could do better! Therefore, Northeast EquiWellness Therapy Products was born!
