1 / What is your return policy?

Products can be returned within 30 days of delivery. Products must be in the same condition as when they were received (clean, fully functional) to qualify for a refund.

If your product is defective, the manufacturer's warranty applies, and we will send you a replacement product and return label at no cost to you as long as the product is under warranty.

2 / Do your products have warranties?

All of our products come with a manufacturer's warranty.

This starts when you receive the item. If your item is found to be defective, it will be replaced at no cost to you within the warranty period. The warranty only applies to defects from manufacturing, not accidents or normal wear and tear.

If your item is outside of the warranty period, we can still help you with troubleshooting, repair, or replacement. Just shoot us a message at contact@northeastequiwellness.com!

Red light devices have a warranty period of 1 year.

PEMF devices have a warranty period of 2 years.

3 / Should I invest in red light or PEMF?

Both support healing. They just work differently. It's a nuanced topic, but I can provide general guidelines.

PEMF helps regulate inflammation and has an effect on the central nervous system. It's a great option for systemic soreness or inflammatory dysregulation. It can also reach areas that light therapy and hands-on work can't.. such as the sacroiliac joint or psoas muscles located deep within the pelvis. (Not all 'SI dysfunction' stems from the joint itself, though - often it is restriction in the thick fascia of the back or lack of fitness/muscular imbalance. This is why it's important to get imaging done so you can pinpoint the root cause.)

Red/near-infrared light boosts cellular energy to support targeted tissue repair, including tendons, ligaments, certain joints, and neurons. It primarily works by speeding up cellular metabolism. This has anti-inflammatory effects as well, and its strongest therapeutic effect reaches up to 8-12 mm past the skin. This makes it well suited to treating soft tissue and joint capsules close to the skin: superficial fascia, hocks, fetlocks, knees, DDFTs, suspensory ligaments, to name a few.

In general, our PEMF units tend to be a larger investment and are used during scheduled sessions. Our red light devices are typically more affordable, portable, and convenient to use.

If your horse needs whole-body regulation, PEMF is often the better starting point. If you want frequent, targeted support for cellular repair, red light is often the more practical choice.

4 / What is Northeast EquiWellness? Are you a retailer or an equine massage therapist?

Great question. The short answer: all of the above!

Northeast EquiWellness began as my hands-on equine bodywork practice serving New Jersey and the Hudson Valley. Over time, as I certified in and added various electrophysical therapies to my services, I found myself dissatisfied with the equine therapy product industry. Many companies were not publishing the technical specifications of their products, which made it hard to compare my options. Talking with my clients, I found that red light, laser, and PEMF therapy devices were unaffordable for many horse owners. My deep dive into creating my own equine therapy product brand revealed 2 major flaws in the industry:

  1. Many companies intentionally keep customers in the dark about their products' specifications (the numbers that matter when administering light or PEMF therapy!)

  2. Many companies charge an exhorbitant markup on their products, especially the most well-known brands with extensive overhead costs.

I set out to offer something better for caring horse owners and equine bodyworkers and health professionals. Nowadays, Northeast EquiWellness products are used nationwide by pros, trainers, owners, and riders just like you. On top of the online store, I also keep myself busy with a full schedule of client horses and continuing education.

All the best to you and your horses,
